There are lots of places worth seeing both in our town and on its surroundings. As for instance the ancient  Marienkirche (St Mary's Church), the former Pomeranian  palace, now housing the  Museum , the  beach and the almost unspoilt nature wherever you go. Leave all worries and problems behind, watch the fishermen in the idyllic  harbour or try your hand at catching some fish. Pike-perch, salmon or eel are a real delicacy when freshly prepared. You can find plenty of restaurants that prepare fish splendidly. Little beer gardens offering sunny and shady places and authentic pubs with a real local flavour invite you to stay. Equally worth seeing are the and the  town harbour and the  Ueckermünde zoo, which we absolutely recommend to visit.
